Malign Influence Operations described as Election Meddling
Major media outlets would have you believe that there is a conspiracy by Russia and President Trump to denigrate the quality of American news reporting. Would they be wrong? They would also have you believe that influence operations or more commonly known as biased reporting is exclusive to some dark lit back room within the Kremlin. Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty is a 501(c)(3) corporation that receives U.S. government funding for broadcasts of news, information, and analysis to countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East
Fine examples of the American version of malign influence operations include Radio Svoboda which counters the Russian aligned and controlled Russia-annexed Crimea news which is prohibitive, featuring intimidation, interrogations, and persecution under highly politicized Russian laws, including on extremism.
The American media is also holding its hands in the air like a carnival magician asking where is the agenda and conversation list from the Helsinki summit which in non-American media is readily available: The discussions evolved around the START Treaty and cooperation in Syria.
